Mistletoe and Heather,
Joyful faces in Blue Summer weather.
Popping Bottles
And christmasy sounds of cheer,
Merrily from ear to ear.
Gift-wrappers and glowing colors,
Piled high under a sparkling tree.
Next morn bits of paper straggling here and there.
Hip hip hoorah! Come kiss me my lovelies.
Just our father bringing cheer to everyone
That he could see.
In the quite of night,
When the day is all done.
A little bit more cheer to see us through
For the meat braaiing over the coals.
Unto bed then we will go
With a ho-ho-ho and a merry old soul.
